Start Thinking offers daily thinking skills starters which will challenge your primary schoool students to think, inquire and reach beyond standard expectations. These self-contained challenges have built-in requirements for students to exercise their minds through essential thinking processes such as questioning, comparing, prioritising, recognising patterns and thinking methodically.

Start Thinking is a collection of more than 90 thinking skills starters, tried and tested in primary classrooms. Guidance on presenting each starter is provided, as well as real samples done by students. Teachers have confirmed how much students enjoyed these starters and benefited from them, growing in confidence, persistence and enthusiasm for learning. Some students turned starters into projects lasting months, completed in thei r own time.

The starters are arranged into chapters on number, words, science, philosophy and creativity so you can easily choose the most approprate challenges for your students.
